My name is Lenin Hercules. I grew up in Honduras and lived there until moving to New York City at the age of thirteen.

I have always wondered how things worked and how they were made. I enjoyed watching my father work as a mechanic in his shop and it drew me to the idea of Fixing things and improving them. But even more intriguing and appealing was the idea of making something from scratch.

I got a lot of inspiration from my teachers in the High School of Art and Design in New York City. It was then when I started drawing, I made my First art and dared to dream big.

I graduated from Pratt Institute in New York with a degree in Industrial Design. Besides furniture, toy, and product design I studied jewelry making and sculpture.

After graduation, I worked as a designer and fabricator. Despite day jobs taking a lot of my time and energy I have never stopped creating.

Among my projects were Fullmetal high-heeled shoes that were featured in digital and print media and worn by hip-hop singer Cassie Ventura in a photoshoot. I also made a number of pieces of designer steel furniture and developed several concepts of toy designs using 3D modeling.

I enjoy drawing because it allows me to imagine different versions of my ideas before their implementation. It allows my envisioned concepts to evolve and grow in my mind before they become a reality. This is how my creative process works. I especially enjoy anatomy drawing because it allows me to understand the human body and create designs that work better.

If I am to summarize my life mission, I would say that I strive to make this world a more beautiful place. And I want to use any chance to do so.
